The newest addition to join our heavy haulage fleet, the SMK200 has a GVM of 165 tonne, a Cummins ISX EGR-600 Engine with an Eaton18 speed Roadranger gearbox, and rides on KW6-60A 21t spring suspension.
She’s ideally suited to Steerable Platform and Low Loader combinations and will tow our 7×8 Steerable Platform Trailer to start with.

- The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) senses steering angle, yaw, suspension pressure and brake application pressure and uses individual wheel brakes or reduces engine torque where needed to keep the actual vehicle movement in line with the intended vehicle movement
- Trailer Response Management (TRM) is available for EBS compatible trailers and can help reduce stopping distances with electronic trailer braking
- Active Cruise with Brakes (ACB) helps avoid accidents by engaging the engine and wheel braking systems when the truck is too close to other vehicles.

Better over the long haul
To make the K200 a pleasure to drive, they’ve loaded it with plenty of creature comforts like an awesome, easy-access sleeper, a wrap-around instrument panel that puts everything in easy reach and “Smart Wheel’ controls on the steering wheel enable the driver to manage the engine brake and cruise control functions with the touch of a button.
The cab also offers plenty of storage space including handy spots for personal items as well as enough space under the bunk to fit two 30 litre fridges or more storage.
In heavy haulage, when you’re travelling thousands of kilometres, some of the best features are the ones you enjoy when you stop driving. Things like being able to stand up and walk around. With the SMK200 Kenworth K200, the low engine tunnel means the Aerodyne cab floor is nearly flat when the truck is stationary and a 6 foot driver can easily stand up and move around inside. Plus, the gear lever can be folded away for even more space.
